Sustain Design Studio will launch their new California SOLO 1 series at the Dwell on Design show in Los Angeles, CA this week. The California SOLO 1 is a prefab modular dwelling – at the forefront of green building and home construction. Employing the highest standards of modern residential design, materials and technology – the California SOLO 1 is beautiful, energy efficient and enduring. The objective of the home is to keep operational and maintenance costs low while reducing the home’s overall environmental footprint.
Sustain Design carefully selected a BLANCO SILGRANIT® II PRECIS Truffle Super Single bowl and CULINATM water saving faucet. The SILGRANIT II sinks are maintenance free and offer legendary durability to resist scratches, heat, stains, chips and more. Plus they are backed with a lifetime warranty. The CULINA offers a breakthrough magnetic hook up and a flexible hose that’s easy to clean. The CULINA water saving faucet reserves 20% more water than a standard faucet.
Other sustainable features of the California SOLO 1 include: green non toxic finishes and materials, energy efficiency, durability, low maintenance to limit waste, indoor air quality to insure healthy home, using natural ventilation to passively cool and a green roof with indigenous vegetation to name just a few.

With over 20,000 design affectionate in attendance, Dwell On Design (June 24 -26, 2011), proved to be the perfect launch arena for CISCO HOME’s groundbreaking kitchen furniture collection featuring a state of the art BLANCO MicroEdge™ sink and professional series faucet. (Of course, BLANCO also exhibited at Dwell On Design to launch the new CULINA™ faucet, SILGRANIT® II Truffle sink color and the innovative 1-3/4 PERFORMA Low Divide.)
“With the emergence of a younger, smarter and more demanding consumer entering the marketplace, we feel that this new collection will be the perfect product extension for CISCO HOME, the clean, modern lines and the use of eco-sensitive materials reflects the CISCO HOME design and marketing philosophy perfectly,” states Cisco Pinedo, President of CISCO BROTHERS.
The CISCO HOME presentation at DWELL ON DESIGN was a 400 sqft living area, giving the feel of a small apartment or loft. The presentation included a free-standing kitchen made from reclaimed timbers of a 125 year old church that was recently demoed. The kitchen featured the latest in energy efficient and water saving appliances plus a state of the art BLANCO sink and faucet.
The new kitchen, bath and closet elements are produced in Los Angeles using recycled and reclaimed wood products that are non-toxic and formaldehyde free and may contribute to LEED accreditation.
