Here’s some of the latest news on BLANCO from K+BB, Design NJ, Interior Design, Architect, Phoenix Home & Garden, Builder News and Consumer Reports.
BLANCO recently filmed with the award-winning PBS show, For Your Home — the longest running home and garden show on television. The segment, taped in Charlotte, North Carolina, will appear on-air this fall.
According to Host, Vicki Payne, “For Your Home gets thousands of phones calls, emails and letters each month asking us to consider their home for an upcoming makeover.”
Payne continues, “When we were approached by this homeowner we had lots of concerns. We knew the kitchen would be a great ‘before and after’ project but the age of the home really set us back. The home was built in 1939. It is located in a great part of town where many homeowners are bulldozing older homes to make room for new or doing massive renovations to existing properties. We decided to tackle the project because it provided us an opportunity to share with our viewers we problems and solutions that they might face when renovating an older home. My goal was to transform this out of date, dark kitchen without losing the integrity of the original home. Through each product selection I stayed true to this goal.”
“The Blanco sink that I selected was a BLANCO SUPREME™ 1-3/4 bowl,” notes Payne. “It was a traditional double bowl sink. The major deciding feature was the depth. The homeowner’s existing sink was really deep and they loved that feature.”
“I had space limitations but Blanco offered a number of deep sinks that could easily fit into our design.”
“The sink, faucet and pot filler are all commercial grade. This is a busy family and we needed something that could perform year after year”
“I selected the CULINA™ Semi-Professional faucet with the CANTATA™ pot filler in a satin nickel finish. Their style is new, fresh and added a youthful touch to this traditional kitchen design. I love to select function first, style second and never have to compromise on either one.”
Christy Emens, Marketing Communications Manager for BLANCO will appear with Vicki Payne on this home makeover segment to talk about sink and faucet trends/how-to’s.
