The Historic Savannah Foundation awarded the 2011 Preservation Award to a Midcentury Modern residence in the Magnolia Park area of Savannah, GA featuring a stunning MicroEdge™ stainless steel sink and Meridian Semi-Professional faucet from BLANCO. The home, a 1954 structure, was virtually untouched and in desperate need of care when it was purchased in 2010. The design team (Cornelia Stumpf, Celestino Piralla for Design and Travis Cormack from TCC Construction) focused on maintaining architectural integrity while furnishing with sustainable products and updated modern amenities.

The dated and water damaged kitchen was carefully preserved to highlight the original architectural features and classic 1950””””s wall oven. Beyond the essential BLANCO sink and faucet, the open space kitchen was finished with other environmentally conscious products including Bazzèo cabinetry, FAGOR appliances and LIEBHERR refrigeration.
